Workshop Reflections

Academy Week training: I really liked the easy way to make a terrarium, a great way to see and understand multiple aspects of ecosystems all the way down to rocks.  The crayon box activity and one pager are great ways for the students to sum up their knowledge and represent it in multiple ways.  The crayon box activity would also be great for vocabulary words.  This week has been a great way to see nature in real life and relate it to science content taught.  I really liked getting to make the tracks and "pooters" and have ready made material to take back to the classroom.
